I was pleasantly surprised by a recent lunch at the Fox House pub on the road out to Hathersage.

They don’t have gluten free items marked on the menu, which is a shame as they do mark other allergens (e.g. alcohol, unusually). However they do have decent gluten free ciabattas and a separate fryer, which means their chips are safe to eat – hurrah!

My sandwich was chicken and Camembert with streaky bacon and red onion chutney. And it very much lived up to expectations. 🙂
