Coeliac / Gluten free / Sheffield

Where can I get a pint?

I was recently asked to recommend pubs in Sheffield that serve gluten free beer. I couldn’t easily answer because frankly I don’t get out enough, but I’m also more of a wine or gin girl. I thought I’d best find out where’s good to go, so very unscientifically, I got in touch with a few bars in town that I thought might be a good bet for GF beer, and here’s what I found out:

The Devonshire Cat (laid back, traditional quality ale pub, owned by Abbeydale Brewery)
One cask and one keg at all times on dedicated gluten free lines, and plenty of bottles. And the boss is a coeliac šŸ™‚
49 Wellington St, Sheffield S1 4HG

Sheffield Tap (recently revamped Edwardian train station bar)
Gluten free pale ale when they can get it, along with a choice of bottles
Sheffield Station, Sheaf St, Sheffield, South Yorkshire S1 2BP

Kelham Island Tavern (CAMRA pub)
Stocks Against the Grain and Marmalade Porter in bottles
62 Russell St, Sheffield S3 8RW

The Broadfield (Victorian pub with a modern feel)
Occasional guest gluten free beers but always Daura Damm in the fridge
452 Abbeydale Rd, Sheffield S7 1FR

Trippets LoungeĀ Bar (fizz, gin, dining and jazz, according to their website)
Daura Damm bottles
89 Trippet Ln, Sheffield S1 4EL

My husband has very generously offered to provide a bit more detailed analysis to this bit of research, so watch this space…
