Where to start? I’m a mid forty year old, living in Sheffield, the city of steel, hence the name – aren’t I clever? 😉 with my husband and two boys. I was diagnosed with coeliac disease in February 2014. I have also had Raynaud’s disease for over twenty years so I’m well known for being nesh. I often feel like I’m falling apart at the seams!

So there have been some fairly radical dietary changes on the cards since my diagnosis. I can’t say I have things tough in general – I have a wonderful husband, a loving family, a fantastic job and a happy home. But being someone who loves food, I’ve found it pretty difficult to adjust to being gluten free and frankly, sometimes I just think (to use the words of my teenager) it’s not fair! Other times I take a more pragmatic approach and do some more research, come up with some more ideas and find some new and interesting foods we can enjoy as a family.

I started this blog with recipes and networking with the Sheffield gluten free community in mind. But it seems the restaurant reviews are by far the most popular posts. I’m amazed with how much traffic I’m getting from people searching for gluten free food in Sheffield. And it keeps growing. 🙂
